About QuickBooks Web Connect (.qbo)

QBO (QuickBooks Web Connect) is Intuit's OFX-based format. Our converter parses your bank statement — PDF, CSV, TXT, or scanned image — normalises dates, amounts, and running balances, then emits a well-formed .qbo file that QuickBooks accepts on the first try. Works for QuickBooks Desktop (Pro/Premier/Enterprise) and QuickBooks Online via Web Connect.

Why bookkeepers pick BankToBooks for QBO

  • Every transaction validated — dates, amounts, running balance reconciled before export.
  • Category auto-tagging so QBO imports arrive pre-coded, not stuck in Uncategorized.
  • Multi-page and scanned PDFs handled with OCR — no need to re-key anything.
  • Zero setup: no bank IDs, no direct-connect fees, no waiting on Intuit approvals.

FAQs

Which QuickBooks versions does .qbo work with?

QuickBooks Desktop 2016+ and QuickBooks Online via Web Connect. Reckon, Sage 50 and Xero also accept .qbo/OFX imports.

Do I need my bank's routing / account number?

No. We fill in reasonable placeholder FI IDs so the import completes without your bank being on Intuit's supported list.

How many transactions can I convert at once?

Free plan: up to 200 transactions per file. Paid plans: unlimited.
